It is with a very heavy heart that we inform you of the repose of our beloved Father Hegumen
Abouna Sedarous AbdelMesseh Sedarous to the heavens. Hegumen Sedarous served in Egypt and US, most recently in St. Mary and St. Joseph the Carpenter Coptic Orthodox Church in Columbus Ohio. Hegumen Sedarous also served as a lecturer in various Coptic Seminaries in Egypt and US. Beside his busy schedule, Hegumen Sedarous gave lectures and sermons in various Christian Channels.

We offer our deepest condolences to the Sedarous, Ghally, and Sawires families and all the congregations Hegumen Sedarous has served over the many years. We are all sharing in this great loss together.

May our Good Savior repose the soul of our beloved Father Hegumen Abouna Sedarous in the Paradise of Joy in the bosom of our holy fathers Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the region of the living forever.

May God grant you all peace, comfort your hearts, and support you during this most difficult time. We ask you dear Hegumen Sedarous to remember us before the throne of grace.

Funeral prayers will be held on Friday December 11, 2020 at 9 am at

St. Mary and St. Joseph the Carpenter Coptic Orthodox Church in Columbus, Ohio.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, prayers at church will be limited to family members.
